Villarreal, possible destination for Isco

Isco Alarcon could return to La Liga sooner rather than later. According to 'Estadio Deportivo', the Spanish midfielder, who is without a club, could sign for Villarreal after the serious injury to Francis Coquelin. 

Villarreal announced on Monday that the French player will be out for the rest of the season. The midfielder suffered a cruciate ligament tear in his right knee last week. 

Isco stayed as a free agent after his failed move to Union Berlin. After passing his medical, the former Valencia, Malaga and Real Madrid midfielder increased his contractual demands and the Germans pulled out. 

It is true that the Spaniard and the Frenchman are not the same type of player. However, Quique Setien is thinking of bolstering the midfielder to increase the options on the bench and get Isco's career back on track.
