Marcus Rashford's situation at Manchester United has done a 180 since the arrival of Ruben Amorim. The England striker has been left out of the squad for the vast majority of games and the Portuguese coach has even explained why he has been left out of the squad at a press conference.
The former Sporting Lisbon boss said he would rather play the 63-year-old goalkeeping coach than Rashford because the 27-year-old striker is not training properly. In addition, Amorim recently said the Englishman would have to change if he wants to play for the club again.
Given this situation, Rashford is looking for a way out of what has been his only club so far before the end of the January transfer window. Barcelona were the most talked about as a possible destination, but Fabrizio Romano has reported that the Catalan club are all but ruled out but a new candidate has emerged.
Aston Villa, who recently confirmed the departure of striker Jhon Duran to Al Nassr in a stratospheric 77 million euro deal, are interested in signing Rashford on loan until the end of the season. Coach Unai Emery has given the green light to the board and the two clubs and player are currently in negotiations.
