VIDEO: Yerson Candelo’s lovely goal in Medellin derby

In March 2019. Independiente Medellin faced Atletico Nacional in the big Medellin derby. It was on matchday eight of the Apertura in the Colombian league. 

Cepellini gave the away side the lead inside 19 minutes before German Cano levelled right on half-time. Two minutes into the second half, Yerson Candelo then scored with a beautiful chip to put Atletico Nacional back in front after a lovely pass by Daniel Bocanegra. Then, 11 minutes from time, Elvis Perlaza made it 2-2 with a free-kick. 

DIM moved onto 10 points in 14th place while Atletico Nacional were in 10th on 11 points with two games in hand. Check out Candelo's goal in the video above!
