Real Madrid travelled to Alcoy to face Alcoyano in a Copa del Rey last 32 tie at El Collao last Thursday.
The visitors took the lead in the 45th minute through Eder Militao and it looked as though Madrid would coast to victory. However, Alcoyano had other ideas. They pushed for a leveller and they got it in the 80th minute through Jose Solbes. Zidane brought on Hazard, Benzema, Kroos and Asensio and Madrid should have had a penalty when Militao was kicked in the leg, but the referee Sanchez Martinez did not spot the offence.
In extra time, Real Madrid did more of the attacking and the Segunda B side were reduced to 10 men after Ramon Lopez Olivan was given a second yellow. However, they hit the front with 10 men after Juan Antonio Casanova Vidal's goal in the 115th minute. Madrid could not find an equaliser and Alcoyano won 2-1.
