England boss Gareth Southgate praised Rico Lewis for his great performance on his debut against North Macedonia, despite the full-back handed the visitors a penalty after a controversial VAR decision.

Rico Lewis capped off an incredible year by making his senior England debut against North Macedonia in the Euro 2024 qualifiers.

The full-back made his first team debut for Manchester City and was part of a historic treble for the Sky Blues winning the Champions League, FA Cup and Premier League.

The Cityzens youngster was called up alongside Cole Palmer by Gareth Southgate in a late substitution for the Three Lions' Euro 2024 qualifiers.
