VIDEO: Sensi's goal vs Sassuolo

On 6th February 2022, Sampdoria hosted Sassuolo at the Luigi Ferraris for a Serie A clash. The match ended in a 4-0 win for the home side.

Francesco Caputo got the hosts off to the best start possible after netting in just the 5th minute of the match. Stefano Sensi then followed this up with a goal of his own two minutes later. In the second half, Andrea Conti made it 3-0 before Antonio Candreva scored Samp's fourth goal of the game from the penalty spot in additional time. Sampdoria finished the 2021/22 Serie A season in 15th place, on 36 points.
