After Bukayo Saka, Gabriel, Gabriel Martinelli, Aaron Ramsdale and Reiss Nelson, William Saliba extended his contract in London. Available from the summer of 2024, the Frenchman could have left Arsenal in a year's time, but the English club have done everything in their power to keep him.
The former Marseille man was a key figure in Arteta's side's fine season, which saw them finish 2nd in the Premier League. The player gave his first words after renewing his contract with Mikel Arteta's side until 2028.
"I'm so excited to extend my contract and I want to thank everyone in the club. Everyone is important so I'm so happy to sign a new contract today," said the centre-back.
Asked what factors influenced his decision to stay at the Emirates Stadium, the Frenchman said: "Honestly, the decision was easy because I had a really good season and unfortunately I didn't finish because of the injury so I want more. I want to play more years for this amazing club and I didn't achieve anything yet so I want to win everything here in this club.
