Wales took on Ukraine in a World Cup play-off final on Sunday.
Ukraine made the final in Cardiff after defeating Scotland 1-3 in Wednesday's semi-final. The teams faced off for a spot in the World Cup in Qatar and, after a strong Ukraine start, they fell behind after 35 minutes. A Bale free-kick was headed by Yarmolenko into his own net. Ukraine responded to falling behind and had numerous chances to level, but goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey was in fine form. Wales held on for a 1-0 win and there were jubilant scenes at the final whistle. It was the first time they had qualified for the tournament since 1958.
After the game, Wales manager Robert Page spoke to the media and he was full of praise for Gareth Bale. Have a listen to his comments in the video above!
