The Paraguayan international lands in Spain following his side's exit from the Copa America at the quarter-final stage to Peru, where they were eliminated 4-3 in the penalty shoot-out following a thrilling 3-3 draw after extra-time. Last season, he played a total of 17 matches for Hertha, starting all but three of them.

He will be hoping to play a more significant role in a Valencia team that will be looking to get back on track after a disastrous 2020/21 campaign. They finished 13th in La Liga, a massive 15 points off the European places.
