Celtic hosted Aberdeen at Celtic Park on Sunday as the two sides met for their 2022/23 Scottish Premiership season opener. The Hoops got their campaign off to the perfect start.

Celtic's Stephen Welsh grabbed an early lead for the home side after he netted in the 3rd minute. After the teams went into the break with the scoreline at 1-0, Jota then doubled Celtic's lead in the 75th minute. The match ended 2-0 to the hosts.
