Man City midfieder Ilkay Gundogan has spoken out in praise of Wednesday's opponent Erling Haaland, who is emerging as one of Europe's hottest talents and has been rumoured as a potential replacement for City's Sergio Aguero.
Such compliments were given in a press conference looking ahead to Man City's Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund in the quarter-finals second leg match this Wednesday.
In the last meeting, Gundogan and co. were able to keep Haaland at bay, winning the game 2-1 thanks to goals from Kevin De Bruyne and a late winner from young Englishman Phil Foden. Marco Reus's goal, which broke Ederson's clean sheet record in the Champions League, means that Dortmund still have something a lot to play for in Germany.
