VIDEO: Gomis beats Brest with superb chip

In October 2012, Lyon hosted Brest on matchday nine of the 2012/13 Ligue 1 season at the Stade de Gerland. 

Lyon were the strong favourites going into this one, but they did not run through their opponents. It was actually goalless at half-time and only a brilliant goal by Bafetimbi Gomis five minutes into the second half separated the two sides. Gomis, who later played for Swansea and Marseille, went on to score 21 goals that season in 45 appearances. 

Lyon finished 3rd in the league and earned a Champions League qualifying spot while Brest were relegated after finishing bottom.
