Racing suffered a 2-0 defeat away from home against Godoy Cruz.
Racing went down to 10 men early in the game, as Tomás Chancalay saw red in the 36th minute. After a goalless first 45 minutes, Godoy Cruz took the lead in the 53rd minute thanks to a Salomón Rodríguez strike. The home side looked like they may be in for a difficult second half, after Franco Negri was shown a straight red card in the 64th minute. However, the Uruguayan would then double his side's lead in the 70th minute and grab his second goal of the game, ensuring that all three points went to his side.
