Palmeiras took on Atletico Goianiense in a Brazilian league clash on Thursday.
The visitors hit the front after 29 minutes through Diego Churin. It remained 0-1 after 41 minutes, but then Palmeiras scored four goals in just eight minutes. Ze Rafael levelled the scores in the 42nd minute and Gustavo Gomez then scored two minutes later. Scarpa and Gomez found the target to take a 4-1 lead at the interval. Things got worse for the visitors when Arthur Henrique saw red in the 74th minute. Churin pulled one back for the visitors 11 minutes from time but it was just a consolation.
