The home side were in front within just five minutes, thanks to a goal from striker Neilton. Their advantage was doubled just before the break thanks to an own goal from Náutico's Ronaldo Alves a minute before HT. Adryelson then rounded off the scoring within nine minutes of the second half, scoring just his second goal of the season.

With this victory, Sport gain ground on league leaders Náutico in first place, the two sides now separated by just two points.
