Former Manchester City captain and legend Fernandinho left the club on a free transfer, after spending nine seasons in England.
The 37 year-old Brazilian has decided to return to his roots and join Athletico Paranaense, the club where he started his career. Fernandinho played with the Brazilian team as an 18 year-old, making 81 appearances in three seasons before moving to Europe and joining Shakhtar Donetsk. He would go on to make 275 appearances with the Ukrainian side before joining City, where he established himself as a club legend during his incredible 383 games in England.
Now as a veteran, Fernandinho has decided to go back to his roots and re-join the club which gave him his professional debut.
