VIDEO: 10 man Crystal Palace beat Reading

Crystal Palace travelled to Reading in a pre-season friendly on Saturday. 

Palace saw Chiekhou Kouyate get a red card after a poor tackle on Ejaria and it was goaless at the interval. In the second period, Palace were awarded a penalty in the 54th minute which Mateta converted. Swift drew Reading level 13 minutes later, but Ayew put 10 man Palace back ahead with nine minutes to play. Scott Banks then sealed victory for Palace with a free-kick in the 90th minute. Crystal Palace's first competitive fixture is away to Chelsea on 14th August while Reading face Stoke on 7th August in their Championship opener.
