Victor Valdes joins fourth tier Spanish club

This Thursday there was a meeting between Victor Valdes and the UA Horta board. The agreement was reached in the afternoon and what was an open secret has been made official.

The former Barcelona goalie will coach fourth tier side UA Horta from next season. So Victor Valdes will be a Tercera Division manager.

Barcelona based side UA Horta finished 12th this season in their group and the club have put lots of trust in Valdes and that was despite them having other offers on the table. Victor Valdes is an exciting signing for them and is keen to work. 

The former Barcelona footballer left the Catalan giants last October after he was dismissed from the Barca youth side. Barca said the following: "Victor Valdes, the coach of the Juvenil A, will not travel with the team for the league game which will be played at 12pm against Gimnastic Tarragona at the Camp Municipal of Pobla de Mafumet. Next week, the technical secretary for formative football at Barcelona will meet with him to analyse his continuity in the post."

This will be Valdes' third team since he has experience at Moratalaz and Barca's youth team. "We hope you have lots of success and at our club," his new club said on social media.
