Victor Valdes having medical at Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough are edgeing closer to signing goalkeeper Victor Valdes as the Spaniard is expected to complete a medical today. 

Valdes has won numerous trophy in his career and would be a huge signing for the newly promoted side. 

The 34-year-old has endured a difficult time in England, rarely playing for Manchester United. However, this clearly has not put him off playing in the Premier League. 

Should Boro complete the signing of the Spanish goalkeeper, it would be considered as somewhat of a coup for the Teesside outfit as just two years ago, Valdes was a regular for Barcelona while Middlesbrough finished 12th in the Championship.
