Venezia, Sergio Romero's next club?

After his Manchester United departure and not making the list for Argentina, Sergio Romero is looking for a fresh start. It looks like he will be playing in Italy. 

According to 'Sky Sport', Venezia is in a favorable position to sign the Argentinian. The Serie A side is pushing to complete the signing of Romero, who has been a free agent since last summer. 

Spezia also made an offer and for some time, it looked like that was Romero's new club, but Venezia has taken the lead in the race to sign him and the signing should be announced in the next couple of hours.

Romero could sign his new contract with the Italian side soon in a deal after deadline day as he is a free agent.
