Valverde sees Madrid becoming ‘more and more comfortable’ on the pitch

Uruguayan Fede Valverde, Real Madrid midfielder, said after the 3-0 win over Real Valladolid that the match continues to give them "confidence" while acknowledging that "every time" they feel "more and more comfortable" on the pitch.

"Another three points. A victory that continues to give us confidence and adds to our position in the table. We feel more and more comfortable. The important thing is to keep going step by step, game by game, focused on what we're doing", he said on Real Madrid TV.

"Mbappe is spectacular. We have always been with him, trying to help in any way we can to make him comfortable. He doesn't need many moves to score goals; we're happy with his performance," he said of the French striker's hat trick.

In addition, Valverde spoke of his versatility after playing as a starting midfielder and as a right-back in the final minutes. An anomaly that has ended up becoming routine in the face of injuries that has struck Real Madrid.

"I'm very confident in what I'm doing and proud that the coach keeps taking me into account. I try to contribute wherever I can, even if I can do better in one position or another, but I try to do my best wherever I am", he said.
