Valencia lose Gameiro through muscle injury

Valencia striker Kevin Gameiro suffered a muscle injury in the left hamstring against Eibar on Monday, according to the club.

The club explained that the player has undergone image tests that reveal that he has "a muscle fibre injury to his left hamstring".

In the brief statement, the club didn't offer a prediction for his recovery but noted that "he will continue with treatment until given medical clearance".

Gameiro, who didn't train with his teammates on Wednesday, came on in the final stretch of the match in Ipurua and had a good chance to win it in the final passage of play in the match.
