After losing to Real Betis in the Copa del Rey final, Valencia are only thinking about finishing this season in the best way possible. They have two La Liga matches left: away to Espanyol and at home to Celta Vigo.
As well as this, Valencia are now planning for next season and how they are going to strenghten their squad. In order to do this, they first need to make sure some of their best players stay.
That is the case of Giorgi Mamardashvili, the Georgian goalkeeper who has been one of the players of the season at the Valencian outfit. According to 'AS', Valencia have decided to advance in talks to extend the goalkeeper's contract.
The 21 year-old goalkeeper moved from Dinamo Tblisi back on 31st January 2021 to join the club's B team. After good performances, Mamardashvili, whose contract runs until 2024, is the number one for the first team.
