Sergio Romero's nightmare at Man Utd is set to finish. The club have decided to sell him for less than expected and that amount is two million euros.
The Argentinian keeper is now 33, but that is nothing for a goalkeeper. His contract expires in June so his departure from Man Utd will be a reality in seven months at the latest.
But it could happen earlier. United have offered the Argentinian keeper two options. One, being sold in January for two million pounds, 'Football Insider' says.
The other option, according to the cited media outlet, is a loan deal until the end of the season. In that case, the club who take him on loan will have pay his salary which is just over four million pounds a year. It is more or less the same amount of money.
United tried to get more money for him and that is why they were opposed to letting him go for nothing despite being one of the players not wanted by Solskjaer. That is because he has got back Henderson to fight with De Gea for the number one spot.
He will go out for much less than what United wanted, but for much more than what experts say he is worth. After five seasons without having hardly any importance at the club, his martket value has plummetted to 500,000 euros. He has made 61 PL appearances for Man Utd in total, but just seven in the last five seasons.
