Manchester United's bad start to the season, and the fact that a dozen of their players will see their contracts run out in summer, means that a plethora of talent has been linked with the club.
Mourinho already asked to bring in new players last summer to reinforce his defence - which has appeared weak throughout this season - and now the 'Red Devils' are targetting several January moves.
According to 'Sky Sports', United have prioritised Andreas Granqvist, 33, of Swedish outfit Helsingborg.
Granqvist has previous experience in England, having played for Wigan Athletic. He has also featured for Groningen, Genoa and Krasnodar. The plan for Mourinho's side is to bring the centre-back in on loan.
