The Spanish national team earned a point against Germany. The German side pressed Luis Enrique's team in the closing stages and Unai Simon was one of the most outstanding players, as he made important saves for Spain.
"If Unai didn't play well with his feet, he couldn't be the goalkeeper of the national team. It is obvious that taking risks is not in the plan, but decision making is very important in football.
"Unai Simon has everything Spain's goalkeeper needs. He has to dominate the aerial game. In the last corner, there were 14 or 16 players in the box and he came out confidently to save the ball," Luis Enrique said.
He also praised Athletic Club's players: "Unai Simon is a high-level goalkeeper, as are David Raya and Robert Sanchez. The risk involves a scare for the heart, but this is also part of what football is all about," the Spanish coach concluded.
