Two quick-fire goals left Eibar in dreamland

Already leading thanks to Gonzalo Escalante's first-half strike, two goals in just five minutes shortly after the interval left the minnows on the verge of a first win against their illustirous opponents.

The game's second goal was rather gifted to the hosts, with Alvaro Odriozola miscontrolling a pass from Toni Kroos following a Madrid throw, with Marc Cucurella seizing on the loose ball.

He picked out the unmarked Sergi Enrich and he made no mistake, firing low across Thibaut Courotis and into the far corner to double his side's lead via a kiss off the post.

Things would get even better for the home side, though, as Kike made it three with 57 minutes gone.

The former Middlesbrough man had been a thorn in Real Madrid's side throughout and he made sure his name would be scribbled down on the scoresheet as he nipped in on the shoulder of Raphael Varane to convert Cucurella's low cross from the left from close range.
