Bayern Munich's situation is dangerously negative at the moment. The defeats against VfL Bochum and the draw against Salzburg leave the team in a delicate moment in sporting terms, but there are problems beyond that.
Reports from Germany report that the relationship between Nagelsmann and sporting director Salihamidzic is not at all good because of recent friction over the transfer market and, above all, the departure of Sule to Borussia Dortmund from July.
"I've always been a big fan of winter signings. They bring a breath of fresh air into the team," said the German coach at the time, who called for the signings of Zakaria, who arrived at Juventus, and Cancelo, almost impossible due to his good level at Manchester City.
"We can create competition by being active in the market," insisted Nagelsmann, who is not finding the key to finding the best level of the German team. "I'm not one to discuss things publicly. I dream of many players and I keep sending lists to the club, but there must be a collective consensus and there wasn't one in the winter. That's why nothing was done. It's no use if I want a player and Salihamidzic doesn't... or vice versa," he added.
A legend like Lothar Matthaus has spoken about Nagelsmann, taking responsibility away from him and putting it on the sporting management. Salihamidzic's response, however, has left no one indifferent. "I will not let this affect me. Lothar is a commentator and he has to say things... but I don't give a damn what he says," he said. Things are not looking good at Bayern...
