Enugu Rangers are in mourning after seeing two of their footballers die in a car crash on Sunday morning.
The pair were travelling to Lagos after the Nigerian league season had been suspended due to COVID-19 when their vehicle collided with another car on the Benin-Agbor road.
Ifeanyi George's friend, Eteka Gabriel also died in the accident and the club were left shocked by the news.
"The management of Rangers International FC shall, in conjunction with the families of Ifeanyi George and Emmanuel Ogbu, pay a befitting last respect to both players," the club began their statement.
"We mourn their sudden demise. It's indeed shocking that we are talking of Ifeanyi and Emmanuel in the past tense," the club concluded.
George, 26, was a Nigerian international and had played twice for his country back in 2017 while Ogbu was part of the team's youth side.
