Diego Carlos will be one of the protagonists in the summer transfer window and that is despite being in the headlines in the January one. 'The Sun' reports that Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan have joined in the fight for the player. Newcastle were the front runners to get the Sevilla man recently.
In his latest public comments, the central defender made it clear that his future in the short and medium term lies at the Sanchez-Pizjuan. This, however, does not mean that clubs have stopped showing interest in signing him.
Sevilla sporting director Monchi will not accept any bid. He showed that last summer when he turned down numerous offers from Chelsea for Jules Kounde. It was then leaked the amount was close to 100 million euros, but, despite that, the Andalusian outfit prevented Lopetegui from losing one of his key men.
The situation is ideal for Sevilla as they are not thinking of letting Diego Carlos leave. If for some reason they decide to sell him, his price tag would be extremely high given the huge interest in the Brazilian. Newcastle, Tottenham and AC Milan will have to try and get him with attractive offers.
