Brentford striker Ivan Toney is still in the soptlight of a controversy after being accused by the English FA of not complying with the regulations to do with betting 262 times between 2017 and 2021.
According to 'The Daily Mail', the striker has supposedly admitted the several charges, which would result in a tough punishment. Everything seems to indicate that he will be disqualified, meaning he would miss the rest of the season.
The footballer is already waiting the punishment, and we'll see if the same happens to him as what did to Joey Barton, who was sentenced to 18 months out of action for breaking betting rules in 2017.
If all this ends up being confirmed, Brentford and England will lose out. The Bees will be without one of their key men, who has got 14 goals, and Southgate won't be able to use him for the Euros qualification coming up.
