While he has had a difficult last few seasons, it seems as though Joe Hart could become the number one for Burnley, especially after Nick Pope injured himself in a pre-season friendly in July and could be side-lined for most of the season.
Even though he was the undisputed first-choice keeper at the club from when he joined the club in 2013 until his injury, this arrival could spell the end for Heaton, who is unlikely to be happy as a back-up at the age of 32.
Such a move will not happy in the near future, with the injury that Pope sustained meaning that competition for places between the two England players will be intense, but once last season's first choice returns to action Heaton could end his 5 year association with the 'Clarets'.
Burnley will get their Premier League campaign under way against Southampton on Saturday.
