The Norwich City defender Timm Klose has left on loan for this season to Basel. As a part of this deal, the Swiss side will have an option to buy for an undisclosed fee.
At 32 years of age, Klose said he was happy to return to the champions of the Swiss Superleague after having spent part of his youth career there.
Klose signed for Norwich in January 2016 from Bundesliga side Wolfsburg and made 128 appearances for them in all competitions, scoring ten goals.
"I never thought that I would have called another city 'home', but what they have given me these last years is more than just football... it is memories and friendships for the rest of my life," wrote the player in his farewell message.
