The Arsenal star has been a long-term target for the runaway Premier League leaders, but they are rather surprisingly unwilling to budge on their £20million valuation of Sanchez with six months remaining on his contract at the Emirates.
The financial stumbling blocks that may prevent the Chile international from sealing a switch to the Etihad don't appear to pose an impediment for the Red Devils, who will cede to the demands of the player's agent and the north London outfit.
With the forward's future still up in the air, Pep Guardiola is holding crunch talks with Manchester City chief executive Ferran Soriano and football director Txiki Begiristain. According to the Manchester Evening News, the outcome of said meeting is likely to determine Sanchez's final destination, with the 29-year-old looking to leave the Emirates as soon as possible.
Having to wait until the summer to link up with Pep Guardiola's side may sway Sanchez towards a transfer to the red side of Manchester, despite reportedly favouring City. The Chilean's future is expected to be decided within the next couple of days.
