Rodrigo Hernandez, Ayoze Perez, and Pablo Fornals. These three players' transfer adds up to 131 million euros, a quarter of what's been spent in the Premier League (out of 529 million) in this transfer market to this date; and the transfer period is only getting heated now.
It is worth mentioning that the transfer market closes earlier for the Premier League, as it starts at the beginning of August, which means the clubs should not be taking much longer to sign their desired players. City and United already have a few significantly more expensive transfers worth mentioning, but of course, Rodrigo Hernandez is currently leading the way in terms of cash spent.
The Spanish midfielder will be Pep Guardiola's "new Busquets", and after only having spent one season at Atletico Madrid, Manchester City have triggered his exit clause, valued at 70 million euros.
Ayoze Perez' sale has also contributed to the large amount of money that's already been spent, as he's left Rafa Benitez' Newcastle to sign for Leicester City, who paid a little over 30 million euros for the Canary Islands native.
Last but not least, Pablo Fornals. A highly creative and skilled midfielder, who first impressed the public playing for Malaga, only to solidify his performances in Villarreal. West Ham will be his new home after the London team spent 28 million euros.
