Santi Cazorla has not forgotten 'La Roja'. The Spanish legend gave his opinion to 'Marca' about Luis Enrique's side before the World Cup and in the midst of a wave of criticism about the final squad list.
The ex-Malaga FC player defended the current manager, and compared the situation to when he made is debut: "There was a great vibe around Luis Argones and I get the impression that something similar is going on with Luis Enrique". "The current Spanish side has a fair few similarities with that of the 2008 Euro side", he added.
What is more, he said he was confident in the national team and predicted a btournament: "I really think that it could go well for Spain in Qatar. I say that because, watching the games, there's reason to have confidence".
The current Al Sadd man wanted to particularly highlight the expectation that the Spanish side carries: "I want to emphasise the enthusiasm that there is with Spain in Doha. Raul, Hierro, Guardiola, Xavi all played here... There are great memories of it and our football is admired. There's got to be a reason why".
