Thierry Henry among the candidates for the Belgium bench

Belgium's future looks bleak. After being left without a coach and the best generation of Belgian footballers in history. the Qatar World Cup is over for them. The team were knocked out in the group stage.

Roberto Martinez confirmed he was leaving once his team drew 0-0 with Croatia. The Catalan coach's departure after six years has led to many people being linked with the job. 

Thierry Henry, who was Martinez's assistant coach during his time as Belgian coach, is one of those on the board's radar, 'RTBF' reports. According to the former Barcelona and Arsenal footballer, Vincent Kompany and Philippe Clement could succeeed Martinez. 

The only thing that was confirmed was that Belgium do not have a coach. No player has yet quit international football for Belgium after their elimination despite reports saying that Lukaku, De Bruyne, Eden Hazard, Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld could step aside.
