Argentina's Olympic team will never forget what happened at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The unprecedented match against Morocco, with a goal disallowed more than an hour and a half later and after several invasions of the pitch by Moroccan fans, took the spotlight, but it was not the only thing that happened in the last few days.
Javier Mascherano, coach of the Olympic team, denounced to the media that a robbery had taken place while Argentina were in training the day before their Paris 2024 opener.
The victim in this case, as the coach said, was Thiago Almada, who was robbed of goods worth 50,000 euros, as reported by the Argentine media and reported by ‘BFMTV’.
"They came into training and robbed us. Thiago Almada was missing a watch, rings, everything... In a training session at the Olympic Games. We didn't want to say anything after training," he said.
Almada now has to take the next step and report the theft to a police station in Lyon. If he does not do so, he will be left with Javier Mascherano's word alone.
