Karl-Heinz Rummenigge stays updated on Bayern Munich's latest sports news. The former Chairman of Executive Board does not miss any information regarding his beloved club.
The first thing he spoke about was Kimmich's controversial words, the German player claimed that he doesn't want to get vaccinated because there is not enough research been done on its side effects. "He will definitely get vaccinated soon, he is a responsible man", said Rummenigge on the topic.
The former player also praised Bayern's form at the Bundesliga. He says the team's form explains how well people work at Bayern.
"In 2008, some clubs were making very tempting offers on Ribery. A couple came from Spain and England. Those offers would have made Ribery the most expensive transfer ever at the time. We discussed for a long time if we could actually reject that much money, but in the end, we decided to keep him", said Rummenigge to 'Bild'.
He also explained that rejecting those offers is what made Bayern's success possible. "We didn't accept the offers because we wanted to keep such an important player for the team. That is probably the reason why Bayern is so superior nowadays in the Bundesliga", he claimed.
"During the last three years, we have been among the three best teams in Europe. Football is something you must enjoy", he said.
