His name was one of the most prominent from last decade. Everyone saw as him one of the greatest promises of English and world football.
Theo Walcott made a name for himself when he was very young and at the age of 16 he was signed by Arsenal, with whom he signed his first professional contract a year later.
In his first seasons with the gunners, Walcott broke numerous records, he was the club's youngest debut in a European competition.
In 2006, despite an injury, it was suggested that the world was welcoming a budding star, but physical problems and irregularity led to quite the opposite.
Walcott never became what he promised to be, but he wasn't a footballer who strayed off course either.
In all, the fast-paced British striker played a total of 374 games for Arsenal, scoring 103 goals in twelve seasons before moving to Everton.
Now 30 years old, Walcott is looked up to on Merseyside and tries to offer experience and advice in a team that does not have the same pressure that was put on him when he started in London.
On Sunday, his current side will face up to his former side, so he will be keen to get out on the field of play and show his first club what he is still capable of.
