The heavy rain that is hitting England has already left the first match suspended. Specifically the face to face of the third round of the FA Cup: Tranmere Rovers against Watford.
Birkenhead, the city where Prenton Park, Tranmere's stadium, is located, is being one of the most affected places by the intense storms.
Watford reported through their social media about the game being postponed. "Both clubs were in regular contact with each other, the referee and the FA during the last few days, discussing the available options".
However, after an inspection undertaken this afternoon, the referee decided that, unfortunately, the game will not go ahead," the short, official report said, that was published on Watford's web page.

The date for the new game is still unknown, because we will have to wait until the stadium, which was badly affected by heavy rain, is in a suitable condition to play in. The date for the rescheduled game will be announced as soon as possible.
