"The game against City will be demanding for both teams"

Stefan Savic appeared alongside Atletico Madrid coach Simeone, as the two spoke with the press ahead of the pre-season match against Manchester City. The Montenegrin player responded to various questions about the match and his squad.

"It's a good game, a great opponent, Premier League and Champions League winners. It will be very demanding for us and for them too. It will help us. We like these kind of games", said Savic of Guardiola's team.

He was also asked about the players his own side would be missing in defense: "We have several who are injured, we hope that they recover soon. Other players have arrived and we're boosting our defense. Those that play will do so very well".

As for the rumours surrounding Joao Felix and Alvaro Morata, Savic left that job to his club. "In the locker room we handle it all well, we're happy they're here and they're important players. We'll see if they're here for the season or not", he finished.
