Ten Hag's future in doubt as Man Utd draw at Villa

A defeat for Manchester United at Villa Park on Sunday could have ended Erik ten Hag's time at Old Trafford. The Dutch manager's job is in doubt because of recent poor results for one of England's biggest clubs. The Red Devils are 14th in the Premier League table after Sunday's match against Unai Emery's men.

The match started with the Villains taking control of the game in the first minutes, leaving the Red Devils no option but to get out of their box. But little by little, the visitors regained strength on the pitch, as well as possession.

The hosts suffered an early setback with Konsa, who had to be forced off with an ischial injury in the first 10 minutes of the match. As a result, he will also be a doubt to represent the Three Lions in the upcoming Nations League matches.

Both teams created some chances to break the deadlock in the first 45 minutes but neither of them was able to get ahead on the scoreboard at half-time. Both Unai Emery and Erik ten Hag made some strategic changes in the second half, but to no avail.

Jhon Duran, who is the best substitute in the major leagues with five goals coming off the bench, was expected to create an impact when he replaced Leon Bailey in the 63rd minute but the Colombian was not as effective on Sunday.

The Red Devils put Emery's men between a rock and a hard place in the closing stages but failed to make the most of their chances. As a result, and deservedly so, the points were shared at Villa Park.
