Tagliafico decides to leave Ajax: Barca are waiting for him

Even though Nicolas Tagliafico has still got a year left on his Ajax contract, he is thinking about leaving Amsterdam this season to begin a new adventure at a new club. 

The 29 year-old Argentinian international is not getting all the opportunities he would like at the Dutch club and that has led him to deciding to change team at the end of the season. 

Tagliafico is looking to play as much as possible ahead of the 2022 World Cup. According to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, the decision has now been taken. 

Tagliafico will say goodbye to the club he has been playing at for the last five seasons after leaving Independiente. At Ajax, his first club in European football, he has scored 15 goals and given 21 assists in 166 competitive matches. 

Among the candidates to get the sought after left-back are Barcelona, a team who have been after him for months. In fact, Tagliafico himself confirmed Barcelona's interest and there were talks with Ajax over a possible sale.
