Szczesny targets Ospina's replacement after the EURO

The Middle East is beginning to lose its position at the centre of the transfer market to North America. The American phenomenon is not yet enough to overtake that of Saudi Arabia, but there have already been deals such as Olivier Giroud to Los Angeles FC and another in the pipeline, Marco Reus to the Galaxy, which are shifting attention away from the championship that Cristiano Ronaldo opened when he signed for Al Nassr.

It is his club that will be one of the key players in this summer's transfer window. According to Fabrizio Romano, an expert in such matters, the board has begun negotiations with Juventus to sign Wojciech Szczesny, who has a contract until 2025. David Ospina is tied until 30 June and has not renewed, so CR7's side need a new starter in goal.

The Italian journalist points out that the decision will have to be made by the Pole, who has announced that this summer's European Championship will be his last international duty. With fewer demands for the last few seasons of his career - he is already 34 years old - leaving Turin to fill his coffers for the next few seasons seems like an ideal option, especially as the ‘Vecchia Signora’ have been relying more and more on Mattia Perin.

Meanwhile, the ‘Bianconeri’ bosses are working on the possible addition of Michele di Gregorio, so Szczesny would be left without the immovable role he has enjoyed since 2018, when he made 41 starts and only reduced, at most, his presence on the pitch to 35, just his mark of the season that has just ended and that could have been the end of his time at Juventus.
