It was a huge win for Carlos Carvahal in terms of importance as well as score. Both Swansea and West Ham are involved in the scrap at the bottom of the table, and the three points secured by the home side takes them 13th, leapfrogging the 'Hammers'.
Carvahal continued his revival at Swansea, leading his side to a glorious victory over an abject West Ham. Ki-Sung Yeung opened the scoring for the home side in the 8th minute, beating Adrian early on. His goal was followed by a second first-half goal from Mike van der Hoorn, who nodded in from Ki Sung-Yeung's corner.
Swansea found the net twice before West Ham could muster a reply, with Andy King and Jordan Ayew burying the 'Hammers' with goals in the 48th and 63rd minutes respectively. King's goal was an easy tap-in, while Ayew converted from the penalty spot after his brother Andre Ayew was brought down by Cheikhou Kouyate.
Michail Antonio got the consolation goal in the 78th, finishing from Aaron Cresswell's ball, but it was too little too late for the London side. Their blues were worsened by the fact that Winston Reid had to be taken off on a stretcher in the first half, after he suffered a nasty back injury. The defender received treatment for ten minutes, and was taken to hospital for a scan.
David Moyes' side now sit 14th, and are plunged further into the relegation fight, with only three points separating them from 19th placed Stoke.
