Super sub Austin equalised for Saints

After goals from Long, Aubameyang and Welbeck saw the home side with a 2-1 lead, the game was by no means dead and buried. 

For the first time this season, Saints showed a fighting spirit after going behind and the introduction of one man proved decisive.

Club top scorer Charlie Austin entered the fray with 72 minutes on the clock, and it didn't take him long to make an impact. 

Stunned by a quick free-kick, Arsenal showed their defence to be shaky once again in the tie. Failing to get the ball clear, Saints kept the pressure on, and with a few slick passes and a tidy run from Cedric, they burst into the six-yard box. 

The Portuguese cut the ball back into a crowded penalty box where Austin was waiting to sweep it home. 2-2 and big Chaz was back to his old clinical self.
