Stiven Mendoza signed a three-year contract and the player has become Santos' second reinforcement for the 2023 season. The Sao Paulo club want to fight for the South American tournament qualification because they failed to achieve last season.
Santos president Andres Rueda said in a statement that the club are "putting together a strong squad, adding experience, to have a good season" and bring joy to the fans.
The 30-year-old striker is a globetrotter, as he has trained with America de Cali and played for teams in India, the United States, Brazil and France, where he played for Amiens.
He returned to Brazil to join Ceara last year, where he was the season's top scorer with 20 goals, half of them were scored in the Campeonato Brasileiro and another six in the Copa Sudamericana.
