'Sport': Agreement in principle between Valencia and Barca for Nico

Nico Gonzalez is one of the players Barcelona will look to get rid of this due to the fact they have too many players. Although his departure was affected by the futures of Frenkie de Jong and Miralem Pjanic, it seems like Nico would rather leave to get more game time. 

The Barca player has more than enough offers and, in the last few hours, Valencia seem to be seriously considering him. In fact, 'Sport' has learned that the deal to get Nico to move to the Mestalla is moving at a good pace.

The cited media outlet said that there is an agreement in principle between Valencia and Barcelona for the loaning out of Nico and that there will not be an option to buy because Barcelona do not want to even talk about the possibility of counting on him. 

It will be only for this season, although Barcelona are sticking to the idea of renewing him until 2025 before he leaves for Valencia. 'Sport' also commented that Jorge Mendes has been key for Nico to move closer to Valencia, due to his good relationship with owner Peter Lim, something which is well known.
