The Netherlands equalised in the match against Spain just after the second half started. The goal was scored by the midfielder Van de Beek.

Spain went in front in the first half and the Netherlands replied in the second to level.

It was Van de Beek who beat Unai Simón in the 47th minute, as the Manchester United player latched on to a loose ball and with a volley to make it 1-1.

The ball came from the left and crossed practically the whole of the Spain box, who were sleeping and no one reached to clear a cross more or less easy to get rid of.

With a point-blank shot, Unai Simón couldn't do anything to avoid the Dutch leveller, who went on to dominate the game for a few minutes.
